Is it necessary to make an appointment to try on wedding gowns?

Yes, it is best to make an appointment in advance in order to give you our full attention!

How long does a bridal gown appointment last?

Bridal gown appointments are an average of 90 minutes.

What sizes are available in sample sizes?

Most of our samples are the traditional sample size of 10 or 12.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring your ideas! Along with any pictures you may have will be helpful too. We have sample shoes and undergarments for you to use during your appointment.

Who Should I bring to my appointment?

We recommend that you bring 1 to 2 people who know you well and whose opinion you value. Bringing too many can take the focus off of you.

May I take pictures during my bridal appointment?

Yes. Bring a digital so you can see how your gown photographs. Dont be surprised if you find the dress on your first visit! Being able to view it digitally during your appointment is helpful.

What is a trunk show?

A trunk show is a special in store event usually lasting three to 10 days, where you can view and buy from a designers latest collection months before they hit stores. Be prepared to make a decision the day of your appointment, as the gown will not be in the store once the trunk show is over.

How long does it take for my bridal gown to arrive?

Wedding gowns can take 6 to 8 months to arrive from the designer.

What is a rush order?

If your wedding date is sooner than the time we need to order and receive your special order gown, we will need to contact the designer and place a rush on the order. Additional fees apply.

Do I need to make an appointment to choose my accessories?

Not only do many brides find their gown on their first visit but many find all their accessories too. If you decide to choose your accessories at a later date you may walk in at any time to try on shoes, jewelry, veils and headpieces.

What is the price range for Bliss bridal gowns?

Our special order gowns start at $730, but are more frequently in the $1,800 to $2,400 range or higher.

How do I pay for my wedding gown?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash and personal checks. Personal checks are only accepted for deposit, not for final payment.

If you are ordering a special order gown, a minimum of 50% is due at the time of your order. When your gown arrives we require payment of the remaining balance. If you are buying a sample gown off our rack, we require 100% payment.

How do I get a color swatch of my dress?

A small swatch of material can be taken from your actual dress when it arrives from the designer to ensure the best match. Dye lots vary widely.

Does Bliss do alterations?

We have a seamstress in house 4 days per month for your convenience.

What do I bring to my first alterations appointment?

You will need to have your shoes and undergarments you will wear on your wedding day in order to have your gown properly fitted. Please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment if you need to purchase undergarments.

How many times do I need to meet with the seamstress?


Typically 2 to 3 appointments. At the final appointment your dress will be pressed and packaged for you to take home.

Can orders be shipped directly to the customer?


Bliss can ship your order. Shipping fees apply.

What if I am unhappy with my experience at Bliss?

That is not acceptable to us! Please tell us. We want your experience at Bliss to be as memorable as possible and will do everything possible to ensure that it is.
