"Life had been a whirlwind for me since the day my fianc, Stephen N., slipped a beautiful engagement ring (from Gary J. Long Jewelers) on my finger. In the midst of both the incredible joys and overwhelming stresses of increased responsibilities at work, moving into a new home and trying to plan a wedding only six months away I found Bliss. Literally, Bliss Bridal Salon.
From the moment I stepped foot into the bridal gown shop I knew I was in good hands. The owner, Tammie Dimas, welcomed my mother, bridesmaids and I with a huge smile and ton of energy. We all gathered together while she asked all about the wedding details, which at the time I had few. We critiqued each dress on the show room floor and she patiently listened as I explained what I liked and disliked about each one. My girlfriends sincerely enjoyed themselves, flipping through magazines and picking out the ones they thought Id like the most. Then I headed into the dressing room as Tammie brought in one gorgeous gown after another.
Initially nervous about my limited budget for the dress, I was pleasantly surprised to find beautiful gowns in all different price ranges. We all laughed (and even cried a little) as I stepped out in each one. The neat thing about Bliss is the consultative nature of Tammies business. I wasnt overwhelmed digging through rows and rows of dresses. I didnt need to bring in photos or a list of styles and fabrics I liked. Tammie got to know me and inquisitively figured out what my style was. While I cant tell you which dress I chose (its a secret of course!), I can say that I know I found the one. I left that day with an experience and memory that Ill never forget and a dress I felt beautiful in."
